Boom Bop Rockets (working title)

Responsible for: Game Design, Level Design, Pixel Art & Animation, Sound FX

 

A online multiplayer project inspired by Fort mode of the popular Worms series. 

Not set in stone game pilars

Made for controllers:

The movement, the aiming and the weapon selection is all made with the main focus on controllers

Fun movement:
We want the movement in the game to smooth and fun. With a potential high skill ceiling. 

Faster paced:
We want to take the essence of Worms but speed things up, not only in the movement but also in game and turn length. We enjoy watching the other plays turn, but maybe not for 30-45 seconds. So we aim for 10-20 second turns.

More actions per turn:

Unlike Worms in which you have 1 action per turn. We have an energy system for a player to take several actions in a row.

No crazy menu's!:

Simple as that, not crazy menu's with 20+ things to choose from.

Character based:

We want each character to feel unique and have their own playstyles. Created by their unique combination of: weapons, abilities and forts

Custom fort creation:

We want plays to create their own forts, with interesting choices and custom blocks that have different effects etc.

Unique character music:

The background music during a game stays mostly the same, but the lead instrument changes based on who's turn it is. 

Moving boats:

The boats move.. so no shot is exactly the same ;)
